The toolsincluded, although adequate, are not the best and ifyou have some good quality allen keys use those as the included hexscrewdriver soon gets rounded corners and then damages the grubs screws makingthem difficult to undo especially after the application of thread lock.Construction of the kit is done over 13stages the parts for each stage are bagged, within each stage bag all theindividual components required for that stage are also in separate labeledbags, making part identification easy. However if you really enjoy buildingthings and finding out how they work buy the kit.The kit comes with most of the tools youneed to build it, additionally you will need long nosepliers, a small craft knife, ruler or calipers and a very small amount ofsuperglue also some oil (grease is included in the kit). I would say, especially where teenagers areconcerned, is that if all you really want to do isdrive the thing, buy a RTR kit. My biggest concern when purchasing the kit was that itwould not be too easy to construct as I wanted it as something to do over a Christmas holiday.Bearing in mind I have never owned or builtan RC car before, and therefore having nothing to compare my experience too,any comments I make are based solely on this kit and not the result ofcomparing it to something many times more expensive.If someone drives a luxury car all day they mayconsider a small run-around a terrible thing, but if you’ve only ever driventhe run-around, you take it for what it is.Īt the end of the day they both getyou from A to B.The kit is not suitable for youngchildren and although certainly not too difficult for teenagers, it does take a bit ofpatience, with some parts of the construction being repetitive and others that should definitely not be rushed.
