What I want from this game is an abundance of fun multiplayer modes for when my little boy is old enough for his first Smash bros experience, and there are more in this game than I would have anticipated. I'm in the same position- I can't justify buying a 3DS just for a few bonus goodies (no matter how good they might be, and I would much rather have the CDs than Mewtwo to be honest).īut the Wii U version looks incredible, and ticks every box for me. Little Mac falls very short when put up against ranged and/or heavy characters. Or B) Switch to Robin if I'm not already playing him. You just simply have to punish them for it. Most Little Mac players seem to just charge in with no holds barred. Little Mac's no-air game is the death of him and honestly it's all just a matter of out-thinking your opponent. How do you send Little Mac airborne?īy playing the safe game and not letting him get in too close.
Hercules defeated Antaeus by holding him aloft and crushing him. Without any platforms, there isn't much reason to make the jump, and it gives plenty of opportunities to deliver blows while embracing his Mother Earth.
Little Mac is basically the equivalent of mythological Antaeus, who "was indefatigably strong as long as he remained in contact with the ground, but once lifted into the air he became as weak as other men."įor Glory mode keeps the players in the "Final Destination" stages, which is a flat strip of land with no hazards, just pure fighting.
